Whitewebbs Museum of Transport

Introduction to Case Study:

Whitewebbs Museum of Transport is a collection of all sorts of modes of wheeled transport housed in a beautiful old water pumping station in Enfield.  The Curators were looking to install a heating system for the collection and came to Harry Taylor for a solution.

First of all, can I thank you for the excellent work carried out by your team of Engineers in installing our new heating system.  The work was carried out with the minimum of disturbance to the museum.  Nothing was too much trouble.  They checked with us to make sure that we were happy before anything was installed.  After each heater installation they cleared up behind them.  They worked in harmony with our electrician.  They are a credit to your Company.  We are so looking forward to having a warm museum this winter! - David Crooks (Treasurer) and Alex Watt (Chairman) - Whitewebbs Museum of Transport

The museum did not have mains gas.  It was also of a size that electric heating would have been very expensive to run.  So Harry Taylor suggested that they consider having a bulk propane supply installed.  This would allow them to have a warm air system throughout the premises.  Certain parts of the premises were also lofty enough to justify having Eliturbo destratification fans to help spread the heat and prevent it from rising and therefore being wasted.  The rest is history, as they say....
